1/ Sohail Castle 

 

The Sohail castle was built by the Muslims in the Xth century, and it was improved in the XII by the Almoravids. It is a magnificent stone building. Erected on a tiny hill the castle offers a glimpse of how it would look Fuengirola in the Middle Age.

 

Currently, the Sohail Castle is entirely empty except for the walls, So it is used for events inside such as the Great Oktoberfest Beer Festival, and the Fuengirola Medieval Market. 

 

Outside the Marenostrum Music Castle Park festival is held every summer. This festival is well known and brings together great national and international music stars.

 

It is easy to get to Sohail Castle. You have to use exit 208A of the Mediterranean motorway towards Malaga. You will recognize the Castle from the highway. 

 

 2/ Aquamijas

 

Aquamijas is the best waterpark in the region. It is open only in the high season, normally through April to the last days of September, but you can contact them before visiting.

 

If you like adrenaline the Kamikaze water slide is for you, With 17 dizzying meters of height and 31 meters of sliding path you can reach impressive speed with your body

 

The Wild River is more than 100 meters of fun. Just jump on your float and ride the wild current. 

 

The Crazy Loop says it all. This slide is closed and full of curves and lights. 100 meters in length to experience with your senses and balance.

 

As a family-oriented waterpark Aquamijas offers the Diver Dragón attraction. This slide is perfect for the fun of the whole family.

3/ Playa de los Boliches

 

Los Boliches beach is one of the most known beaches in the entire Málaga region. With more than 1 kilometer length and 40 meters in width is full of amusement.  It is a swimmable beach with fine golden dark sand. You can access Boliche beach from the beautiful promenade. 

 

It is full of commercial activity with many bars, restaurants and shops nearby.



4/ Plaza de la Constitución

 

You should not miss a walk on the Plaza de la Constitución. This town square offers a warm andalusi feeling. It is very close to the promenade and there are many bars and restaurants to enjoy tapas and pescaito frito.  You can visit the beautiful church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario.  

 

Built-in 1940 it recreates the traditional baroque chapels of Andalucia.
